About Us
Our Origin
Ndichia Foundation was born from a father's heartfelt wish during the 2012 priestly ordination of Rev. Fr. Anthony Ndang Ndichia: “Whatever money or property in the family shall be used at all times to make a difference in the lives of the poor.” Inspired by Mr. Primus Nkuo Ndichia (a retired teacher passionate about education and the vulnerable), the Foundation began assisting children informally in 2012. It was legally registered on December 18, 2019 (Reg. No. 05/ACK/E.32/SAAJP) by the Senior Divisional Officer for Boyo Division, North West Region, Cameroon.
Who We Are
We are a non-profit, apolitical, and non-religious organization under Cameroon's Law No. 90/053 of December 19, 1990. Our focus is providing holistic, loving support to underprivileged and vulnerable children, orphans, youth, persons with disabilities, crisis affected families from diverse backgrounds. We bridge the gap between learners and quality education, the disadvantaged of society and skills training or economic empowerment through long-term programs, tracking, monitoring, referral services, and community linkages. Our dream: transform young lives in Cameroon and contribute to a brighter global future.
Our Team
Ndichia Foundation – “Skills for Life”, is guided by a board of directors rooted in the heart of the Community — including one Catholic missionary priest, a religious reverend sister, faithful Catholic men and women who are passionate about change in the community. Their unity ensures that every project we undertake remains community driven, tackles poverty and inequality, focusing on the psychosocial growth, development and wellbeing of the people. Your generosity joins with this communion, empowering our children and youth for a better future.
Founder’s Story: Mr. Primus Nkuo Ndichia
Mr Primus Nkuo NDICHIA 1944 - 2023.
The visionary whose legacy inspires every child we support
Born in 1944 in Njinikom Sub Division of Boyo Division in Cameroon’s North West Region, Mr. Primus Nkuo Ndichia lived a life defined by compassion, service, and an unwavering belief in the power of education. A trained teacher by profession, he carried a deep love for learning and an even deeper commitment to ensuring that no child was denied the opportunity to be educated because of poverty.
Throughout his lifetime, Mr. Ndichia became a quiet pillar of hope in his community. He personally sponsored countless disadvantaged children, paying school fees, providing learning materials, and offering mentorship to those who had no one else to turn to. His home was a place where the poor and vulnerable were always welcomed, listened to, and supported. Helping others was not an act of charity for him — it was a calling.
In 2012, this lifelong passion took shape in the form of Ndichia Foundation, created with a clear purpose: to ease the suffering of society’s most vulnerable. Mr. Ndichia poured his heart, energy, and personal resources into the organization, ensuring that it remained rooted in compassion, dignity, and service. By 2019, the foundation was formally and legally registered, expanding its reach and strengthening its mission.
Guided by the conviction in John F. Kennedy’s words, “A child miseducated is a child lost,” the foundation focuses on supporting the “poor of the poor” through education and holistic wellbeing. Its work extends beyond academic support to restoring emotional, spiritual, psychological, and social stability in the lives of those it serves.
In 2023, at the age of 79, Mr. Primus Nkuo Ndichia passed on, leaving behind a powerful legacy of love, care, and unwavering dedication to humanity. Though he is no longer physically present, his vision lives on. A strong and committed Board of Directors continues to uphold his values and guide the foundation’s work, ensuring that his mission of uplifting the vulnerable remains alive and active.
Today, the Ndichia Foundation stands as a testament to one man’s belief that every child deserves a chance, every person deserves dignity, and every community can rise when compassion leads the way.
